KARACHI: According to the latest news , The World Bank has announced $ 100 million to the Sindh Government for a clean water project in Karachi.

Breaking news : This was stated by a delegation of the World Bank Mission during a meeting with the Sindh Government Municipality Nasir Hussain Shah at his office.

The meeting was attended by Michael Haney, Andrew Rhode, Farhan Sami, Sana Akram, while Secretary Local Sindh Government Roshan Ali Sheikh, MD Water Board Asadullah Khan, Project Director Ayub Sheikh and Director Investment Shakeel Qureshi were also present on the occasion of this latest news.

According to the latest news of clean water project , The Minister was informed that under this scheme the capabilities of the water board will be further enhanced to ensure safe drinking water for all citizens of Karachi. Under the plan of clean water project, the water board in Karachi will also improve water supply, drainage, sewerage system. The first phase of the clean water project includes water board reform at a cost of $ 100 million. According to today news, it will cost $ 77 million while $ 16 million is spent on project studies

Nasir Shah Hussain : Nasir Hussain Shah said that this is an important project for providing clean and standard drinking water to the citizens of Karachi, so Sindh Government and the World Bank will work together to ensure continuous monitoring of all the issues related to this clean water project.

Roshan Ali Sheikh: The secretary of the municipality Roshan Ali Sheikh said that the clean water project administrator has been approved. He instructed the project director to submit his work plan within a week, which also included deadlines, goals and other plan details.
